The National Forum "Bicycles in urban areas." organized by REC for CEE - Bulgaria took place on February 21, 2012 in Information Centre of European Commission Representation in Bulgaria. The meeting was attended by organizations, institutions and local authorities, aimed at analyzing problems and opportunities for urban cycling in Bulgaria and the possibilities for increasing the capacity of local governments to include cycling as everyday transportation mode in the cities of Bulgaria.

First release of www.ucha.bg - a Resource center for environmental education and sustainable development

On the 16th of November 2010, REC for CEE – Bulgaria, launched the first web site - which is a Resource center for environmental education and sustainable development. The project is financed by the EEA Grants Programe 2004-2009. This website exist as a result of the joined efforts of the organizations engaged with environmental education to collect and share all materials for work with children in an unite place.

As a second stage of the joint idea it is to be created an internet based teachers network.

WASTE WATER MANAGEMENT - 16th CIFAL PLOCK WORKSHOP INVITATION

It is a 3-days event organized by the International Centre for Local Development CIFAL Płock in cooperation with the United Nation Institute for Training and Research UNITAR, Veolia Environnement and PPP Centre, which will be held between 30th of November and 2nd December in Płock, Poland. So far the Centre had undertaken such topics as: environmental education, urban transportation, public-private partnership etc. Each event is a forum for professional exchange of knowledge and skills achieved thanks to a uniquely developed methodology.

Green school ‘Together for Natura 2000’, Krapets village, Shabla Municipalirty

Between 28th of April and 2nd of May 2010, at Krapets village, Shabla Municipality the Green school ‘Together for Natura 2000’ was organized. The Green school was organized in the frames of ‘Education for Natura 2000 – introducing the ecological network in Bulgarian schools’ project developed by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe and the Bulgarian Society for Bird Protection – BirdLife Bulgaria, financed by the NGO fund of Financial Mechanism of EEA (2003-2013).
